VERTICAL TURBINES

Vertical Turbine Pumps are a rotodynamic pump that use single or multiple rotating impellers mounted inside a bowl assembly to generate pressure and flow of a fluid. Vertical Turbine pumps are mounted vertically with an impeller and bowl assembly set downward into a pit while a shaft is used for support and to engage a vertical motor which is mounted at the top of the pit. As the pump rotates the fluid will progress into the eye of the impeller and be thrust vertically. The more impellers within the pump the more the fluid will overcome greater pressures.
